Features of Inter Caste Marriage Scheme:-

There are many features of this scheme which are as follows –

• Amount for the scheme: -  In this scheme, a total amount of Rs 3 lakh will be given to the beneficiary including Rs 50,000 by the state government and Rs 2.50 lakh by Dr. Ambedkar Foundation.
• Special for the scheme:-  This amount will be given especially to those boys or girls who have married boys or girls belonging to Scheduled Caste or Tribe.
• Bank Account :-  The amount provided in this scheme will be deposited in the bank account of the boy or girl. For this it is necessary for them to have their own bank account.

Eligibility Criteria for Inter Caste Marriage Scheme:-

For this it is necessary to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

• Maharashtra Permanent Resident:-  Since this scheme has been started by the Maharashtra Government, to avail its benefits it is necessary for the boy or girl to be a resident of Maharashtra state.
• Age of the boy and girl:-  To receive the amount under the scheme, the age of the boy and girl should not be less than 21 years and 18 years respectively.
• Must belong to Scheduled Caste or Tribe:- It  is mandatory for any one of the married couples to be a part of this scheme to belong to a Scheduled Caste or Tribe.
• Eligibility according to caste: -  Under this scheme, if a boy or girl of Scheduled Caste or Tribe marries a boy or girl of any backward class or general category, then only they can avail the benefits of this scheme.
• Court Marriage:-  To get the amount given by the government, it is mandatory for the married couple to do court marriage. This amount will be given only to the couple who have a court marriage.

It is very important for a young man or woman joining this scheme to have the following documents –

• Aadhar Card:-  Aadhar Card launched by the government is the most important ID card in today's time. Therefore, it is mandatory for both the young man and the girl to have their Aadhar card.
• Age Certificate:-  Age has been fixed for this scheme, hence it is necessary for them to submit their age certificate also.
• Caste Certificate:-  Main importance has been given to caste in this scheme, hence in a married couple both the young man and the woman will have to give their caste certificate also.
• Passport size photo: It  is mandatory to submit one passport size photo of the married couple after their marriage to be placed in the form.
• Proof of Court Marriage:-  This scheme is only for couples who have done court marriage. Therefore, they will also have to submit the certificate of marriage done in the court.
