When the entire country is suffering from Covid-19, Assam government has launched a scheme called Mukhyamantri Shishu Seva Yojana. The scheme is solely for the orphan children who lost their parents to Covid-19. The scheme was announced by the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma. The scheme was launched to mark the day of 7 years of Modi government. Here in this article you are going to get an idea of the scheme.

Mukhyamantri Shishu Seva Yojana Latest Update:-
Recently state government transferred Rs 7,81,200 to the beneficiaries bank fixed deposit account. and CM on Thursday handed over the checks of financial assistance to a few beneficiaries who lost there parents due to COVID under the scheme.

Mukhyamantri Shishu Seva Yojana Key Features
Objective of the scheme–
The scheme will take care of the children who lost their parents to Covid-19 pandemic. Its objective is to welfare of the children of Assam.

Financial help–
As per the Chief Minister of Assam, each of the beneficiaries will get 3,500 rupees per month. In that financial amount 2000 rupees is given by the central government of India.


Continuation of education–
The children who have lost their parents will be admitted to residential schools.

Education for orphan girls–
The orphan girls will be sent to reputed schools where they will receive proper education, safety, and care.

Vocational training–
The orphan children will be given with vocational skill-based training so that they can earn their livelihood.

Children below 10 years–
The orphan children, who are below 10 years old, will be kept in child care institutions where they will receive proper care and education.

Schools under the scheme –
Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Goalpara Sainik School, Navodaya School, etc. schools are working under the scheme.


Financial help for girls’ marriage–
When the orphan girls will become eligible for marriage govt. will provide 50,000 rupees to each of the girls.
