UP Free Gas Cylinder Yojana:- Uttar Pradesh government will give a new gift to the general public of the state on Diwali. For which the state government will provide free LPG cylinders to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme of Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of Diwali. For this, UP Free Gas Cylinder Scheme has been started. This decision has been taken in the meeting held on October 17 under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary. UP Free Gas Cylinder Scheme 2023:-
UP Free Gas Cylinder Scheme has been started by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Through this scheme, the benefit of free gas cylinder will be given to the holders of gas cylinders given under Ujjwala scheme. Whose money will be deposited directly into the bank account of the beneficiary. A decision on this matter has been taken on 17 October 2023 under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary in Lucknow. Cabinet approval will soon be taken on the proposal of the Food and Logistics Department. The Chief Secretary of UP has held a meeting with departmental officials on the proposal related to the UP Free Gas Cylinder Scheme and issued necessary guidelines so that the scheme can be started as soon as possible. This gas cylinder will be given on the occasion of Diwali, which will double the happiness of the families.
Objective of UP Free Gas Cylinder Yojana:-
The main objective of starting the UP Free Gas Cylinder Scheme by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is to provide two free cylinders in a year to the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Scheme. So that women can be helped in building a clean and healthy kitchen by freeing them from the smoke of the stove. Therefore, all the women beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme of the state will be given the benefit of free gas.
Free cylinder will be given on Diwali and Holi:-
Under the UP Free Gas Cylinder Scheme, the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme will be given one free LPG cylinder before Diwali by the government. Similarly, the second free cylinder can be given on Holi, for which the Yogi government has made complete preparations. So that by providing the benefit of free LPG cylinder, gifts can be given to the beneficiaries on the festival of Diwali and Holi, so that the happiness of the families can be doubled.
About 1.75 crore gas connection holders will get money:-
Let us tell you that in Uttar Pradesh, about 1 crore 75 lakh gas connections have been given under the Ujjwala scheme. Free LPG cylinders will be given to the holders of gas cylinders given under the Ujjwala scheme. This time, for the first time on the occasion of Diwali, the gas cylinder money will be transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries by the government. This money will be sent to the bank accounts of gas connection holders through DBT. For which a decision has been taken under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary in Lucknow.
Provision of Rs 3300 crore for providing free gas cylinders:-
During the last assembly elections, BJP in its manifesto had announced to give free gas cylinders to the women beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme on Holi and Diwali. To implement this scheme, a budget provision of Rs 3300 crore was made by the government to provide free gas cylinders. Using this amount, Uttar Pradesh government will give 2 free gas cylinders to the beneficiaries of the state.
Benefits and features of UP Free Gas Cylinder Yojana 2023:-
Under UP Free Gas Cylinder Yojana, free cylinders will be given to the beneficiaries by the Uttar Pradesh government.
The benefit of this scheme will be given to the women beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme.
Women beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme will be given one free LPG cylinder before Diwali. Similarly, the second cylinder will be given on Holi.

Eligibility for UP Free Gas Cylinder Scheme:-
The applicant must be a native of Uttar Pradesh.
To apply under this scheme, the age of the applicant woman should be above 18 years.
Only women holding Ujjwala connection of the state will be eligible for this scheme.
The applicant should not have any other LPG connection from any OMC in the same house.
