Employment opportunities in UP Mission Employment Campaign:-

For information here, let us tell you that through the Mission Employment Campaign to be launched in UP, employment facilities will be provided to all the unemployed youth of the state as well as to those who have lost their jobs in the last few months. Also inform that all unemployed youth will be given the facility to fill application and registration forms for jobs in various government departments, councils and corporations. Let us tell you that to successfully create employment in this mission, the UP government will also cooperate with private departments.

Official data of unemployed youth:-

For your information, let us tell you that according to the official government data, the number of employed people in UP till February 2020 was around 34 lakh. But when the lockdown was imposed across the country due to Covid-19, about 40 lakh people returned to UP from the states where they were working. Also, let us also tell you that among the people who left their jobs and came back to UP, more than half are skilled workers and along with this, they also include semi-skilled or unskilled workers. The state government has also given instructions to all concerned officials to finalize the Mission Employment Scheme. Apart from this, let us tell you that under the Mission Unemployed Scheme, the UP government will provide self-employment to all unemployed people, and this campaign will be linked with Bharat Nirmal Bharat Scheme.

Let us also tell you here that for the implementation of this campaign, all the concerned departments will prepare a detailed action plan which includes skill training, appointments, allocation of land and data collection etc. Thus, a target has been set to provide employment and self-employment to 50 lakh youth.

Employment helpdesk for unemployed youth of UP:-

Under the UP Mission Rozgar Abhiyan, the Chief Secretary of the UP Government has said that an employment help desk should be established in every department and organization so that people can get information about the various types of employment and self-employment skill training programs being run. Preparing database of employment opportunities:-

The State Government of UP is mandated to create and maintain a database of employment for all the unemployed youth of the state under the Mission Rozgar. That is why to run this campaign efficiently, the Directorate of Training and Employment is creating an app and web portal. Let us inform that the budget for this work will be provided by the Labor Department and the nodal officer will be given the responsibility to update the data from the special department on the app and portal.

Job fair in UP Mission employment campaign:-

The UP government has directed all directorates, corporations, boards and commissions of the state to keep an eye on the progress and appoint a nodal officer to coordinate between various stakeholders. Here, let us tell you that the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner has been appointed to oversee the UP Mission Rojgar Abhiyan and a high level committee under the chairmanship of the CS will monitor this campaign every month. Apart from this, let us inform you that this scheme will be implemented at the district level in every district of UP and a committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate to prepare an action plan for this. Also, let us tell you that the Directorate of Training and Employment will organize employment fairs in the state in collaboration with private industries. Apart from this, people will be appointed by running a special campaign in all the departments where there are vacant posts.

Employment launched in UP by CM Yogi Adityanath:-

Let us inform here that on the occasion of the launch of this mission, Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath will appoint 37,000 new assistant teachers in primary schools by giving them appointment letters and he will also interact with the newly appointed teachers. Here let us inform you that in a function held on 16 October 2020, appointment letters have already been issued to 31,277 new teachers and on 23 October, appointment letters have also been issued to 3,317 assistant teachers of secondary schools. Let us tell you that out of total 69,000 teachers, the High Court had also given its approval to the appointment of 37,000 teachers. Let us tell you that under Mission Rojgar, government departments, corporations, councils, and voluntary organization bodies will coordinate to create employment as well as self-employment opportunities for the people in the state through skill training and education.
