Bihar Scholarship Scheme 2023

Bihar Scholarship Scheme Assistance Amount (Scholarships Amount) :-
Scholarships will be distributed in the following manner on the basis of categories determined in this scholarship scheme of Bihar.Rs 2,000 will be provided to all the students pursuing Intermediate/IA/ISC/ICOM or similar courses.
Similarly, a scholarship of Rs 5,000 will be provided to all the students pursuing graduation courses like BA/B.Sc/B.Com or other similar courses.
Applicants for post graduation courses like MA/MSc/MCom/MPhil/PhD etc. will also be given Rs 5,000 as scholarship.
An amount of Rs 5,000 is also to be given as scholarship to the students doing ITI course.
After this, those who want to do a 3-year diploma will be provided Rs 10,000 to do the diploma.
Apart from this, there is a provision of Bihar government to provide scholarship amount up to Rs 15,000 for other courses like engineering/medical/management or similar courses.

Bihar Scholarship Scheme Eligibility:-
Native of Bihar:- This scheme is to help the students of Bihar in pursuing higher education by providing them scholarship, hence only the natives of Bihar are eligible for it.
Students studying regularly:- Only those students who have done all their courses regularly can apply in this scheme. That means no one has left studies midway.
On the basis of caste:- The benefit of this scheme will be given to all the students belonging to castes like ST / SC / OBC or EBC etc.
Income Limit:- Since this scheme is for students from poor families, hence in this scheme it will be kept in mind that the annual income of the applicant's family should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh. Income should be less than this.
Government Schools and Colleges:- It has been mentioned in the draft of this scheme that only students of government and government recognized schools and colleges are allowed to apply under this scheme. Students of other private schools and colleges cannot apply for this.
80% marks in class 12th:- Since scholarship is to be provided to meritorious students in this scheme, it is mandatory for the students joining it to have at least 80% marks in class 12th. Along with this, it is also necessary that the student has passed 10th class with good marks.
2 members from one family:- If more than 1-2 candidates in a family are eligible for this scheme, then only maximum 2 children from one family will get the benefit of this scheme.
Those taking benefit of other scholarship scheme:- If any applicant is getting scholarship under any scholarship scheme earlier, then they will not be eligible to apply in this scheme.

Bihar Scholarship Scheme Documents :-
Aadhar Card:- In this scheme, it is necessary to be a resident of Bihar, therefore all the applicants should show a copy of their Aadhar Card, so that it can be proved that the applicant is a resident of Bihar.
Bank account information:- Under the scheme, the scholarship amount will not be given in the hands of the applicant but will be deposited in his bank account, hence the applicants should have a bank account. And to provide bank account information, it is also mandatory for them to have the bank passbook.
Income Certificate:- Applicants will also have to attach a copy of the income certificate or salary slip with the application form to prove the income of their family.
Caste Certificate:- Scholarship in this scheme is to be given on the basis of caste, hence it is better that all the students submit a copy of their caste certificate.
Bonafide Certificate:- All applicants are required to submit a bonafide certificate along with the application form.
Passport size photo:- Applicants will have to scan their passport size photo and signature to upload it in the online application form.
12th class mark sheet: - Since the applicant must have 80% marks in 12th class, applicants will also have to attach a copy of their 12th class mark sheet with the application form.

First of all, applicants have to visit the official website of Bihar Social Welfare to apply for Bihar Scholarship Scheme.
After reaching the homepage of this website, all eligible students will see the option of ‘Apply Now’ in the menu bar. Beneficiaries have to click on it. After this the application form of the scheme will be shown in front of them.
Now you will have to give some important information that will be asked from you there. And all the necessary documents will also have to be uploaded.
After filling all the information and attaching the documents, click on the ‘Submit Application Form’ button. This will fill your application form, after this the application receipt will be shown on your screen, take a printout of it. Which can be used later. It can be downloaded.
