What is Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme Haryana, Objective (Mukhyamantri Bagwani Bima Yojana Objective)
Under the Haryana Horticulture Scheme, the government will provide assistance to the farmers in the production and maintenance of fruits, vegetables and fruits. Management of spices and medicinal and aromatic plants will also be an important task by the Horticulture Department. There are a lot of farmers in Haryana who prefer to cultivate horticulture crop than traditional crop as it is highly specialized technical and profitable venture. Benefits in the scheme:-
Under the Horticulture Insurance Scheme, Haryana Government will provide assistance to farmers in case their crops are damaged due to natural disaster. Their crops will be insured.
natural disasters :-
Under this scheme, only if the crops are affected due to bad weather, hailstorm, temperature, flood, cloud burst, breach of canal or dam, waterlogging, storm, storm and fire, then the horticulture crops of the farmers will be insured.
Total horticulture crops :-
Under this scheme, 20 crops have been included in the crops which will be insured by the state government, which will be 14 vegetables, 2 spices and 4 fruit crops etc.
Total sum insured :-
Under this scheme, farmers will be provided insurance of Rs 30 thousand and Rs 40 thousand by the government in case of loss of their crops. For vegetable and spice crops, the insurance will be up to Rs 30 thousand per acre, while for fruit crops, the insurance will be up to Rs 40 thousand per acre.
insurance premium :-
Under this scheme, the insurance premium for farmers will be 2.5 percent, for vegetable crops, farmers will have to pay Rs. 750 and for fruit crops, farmers will have to pay Rs. 1000 per acre.
Compensation amount survey process:-
In this scheme, the compensation amount will be divided into 4 categories which will be 25, 50, 75 and 100. This compensation will be based on survey, in which crops will be monitored, reviewed and disputes will be resolved under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. And it will be implemented through state level and district committees.
Registered Farmer :-
In this scheme, the government has also made a provision to provide alternative benefits to those farmers who are registered in the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal.
