Farmers need electricity for farming, but farmers living in rural areas do not have enough electricity to regularly use the pumps used in irrigation. But now they don't need to worry. Chhattisgarh Cabinet has approved CG Sahaj Electricity Bill Scheme for farmers under Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana. With this, all farmers of any category of irrigation pumps will have the facility of flat rate in their billing. Also, instead of capacity and consumption, only the number of pumps will be taken into consideration.

Features of the scheme (CG Sahaj Bijli Bill Scheme Features) :-
Relief to farmers:- Chhattisgarh state government is going to provide big relief to the farmers through the extension made in this scheme i.e. Chhattisgarh Sahaj Electricity Bill Scheme. This will help them in agricultural work.
Facility to be provided to the farmers:- Through this scheme, electricity will be supplied without any limit as per the flat rates fixed by the state government for the capacity and number of pumps based on the choice of the farmers, so that the farmers can There cannot be any wrong guidance.
Period for presenting options:- The period for presenting options under this scheme has been fixed as 31 March 2019. Till then farmers can choose the appropriate option for their needs.
Calculation of balance amount of electricity:- In many CG Sahaj Electricity Bill Schemes started under Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, now the remaining amount of electricity to the farmers will be calculated on the basis of their chosen option and flat rates. After this the farmers will get the facility of payment.
