Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Students Revised Scheme 2023

Eligibility for the scheme (Medhavi Chatra Yojna Eligibility):-
The following categories of people are eligible to be a part of this scheme –

Domicile: The student must be a resident of the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. He must also have proper documents to verify this.
Minimum Criteria: At least 72 percent of the student should appear in the SSC examination conducted by the state government. If marks are less than this, students will be unable to prove their ability.
Those students, who have got admission in notified institutions as per the norms set by the concerned institution for pursuing full time courses at the level of Post Matric/Diploma etc., can be a part of this scheme.
Any student availing the benefits of any other scholarship scheme run by the Government of India will not be included under this scheme.

Documents for the scheme (Medhavi Chhatra Yojana Required Documents)
Students taking advantage of this scheme must have the following documents –

Photo: This is an important document in which passport size is accepted. All students should keep this with them.
Aadhar Card: In today's time, Aadhar Card has become the most useful ID, it is necessary for you to keep a scanned copy of its original copy to fill this form.
Bonafide Certificate of Himachal: This scheme works at the regional level, hence it is necessary for you to keep important ID of the state with you.
Copy of Result: Priority has been given to the exam marks in merit, hence it is mandatory for the student to keep his/her important mark sheet with him/her for verification of marks obtained in the exam.
Caste Certificate: Since the elections are based on caste, it is mandatory for the student to keep his/her caste certificate, for which it is necessary to have the Scheduled Caste and OBC caste certificate which should be issued by an officer above the rank of Tehsildar.
Bank Account Details: This is also an important document, for which the information on the first page of the bank passbook is filled. To fill the online form, the first page of the passbook can be scanned, otherwise Xerox copy of the first page is to be submitted.
Income certificate taken from the authority: It is important to provide income certificate to verify the monthly and annual income of the family.
Apart from this, there are many special documents like fee structure approved by the university, receipt of fee payment, and letter for selection etc. The student will also have to submit.

How to Apply for Medhavi Chhatra Yojana:-
First of all, the student has to visit the official website of Himachal Pradesh Government for scholarship. From here you can get scholarship information online.
Here the student will have to log in and fill in the required information. Fill all the information carefully, if it is wrong the form may get rejected. You can keep all the information ready by writing it on a rough page.
After this ID and password will be generated. [ID and password are very important, fill them carefully and remember them, so that you can open your account without any hassle]
Log in using this ID and password. [After logging in, when the work is finished, please log off.]
After this there is a need to fill the application form. In this you fill all the information given by you and upload your photograph in it. Check the size and format of the photo carefully and then fill it because sometimes the form is not accepted due to the size being big or small, similarly, give the photo in the same format as asked for.
Take a print out of it and submit this application form along with all the documents to the school/institute. Keep a copy of this with you.
