 Post matric scholarship is provided to those students who are studying in post matriculation or post-secondary level of education. This scholarship is provided to those students who are studying at the pre-matric level. All those students who are studying from class 5th to 10th will be able to take advantage of this scheme. Only those students who belong to SC, ST, B,C disabled categories will be able to take benefit from this scheme. This scheme is currently open for only those students who are studying in schools run by the government and local bodies

Under this scholarship scheme, the government is going to finance the coaching fees and expenses related to the preparation for the civil service examination. Applicants belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, backward class, economically backward class, minority, Kapu, and Brahmin communities will be able to take benefit from this scheme

 Under this scheme, a grant of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh is provided to the beneficiary. Those beneficiaries who belong to SC, ST, BC, EBC, Brahmin Kapu and minority communities will be able to take benefit of this scheme. Other than that those students whose annual family income is less than Rs 6 lakh will be benefited

Eligibility conditions vary for both pre-matric and post-matric scholarships. For pre-matric scholarships, students must belong to SC/ST/BC/Disabled category and the annual family income must not exceed Rs. 2 lacs. SC/ST students can apply for 5th to 10th class scholarships and backward class students can apply only for 9th and 10th classes.

Eligibility for post-matric scholarship includes that the student must be studying ITI, polytechnic, degree in any government, aided or government recognized private colleges. Students must have 75% attendance. Family income must not exceed 2.5 lacs. The family must not own a land of more than 10 acres. No family member in the family must be paying income tax or should not own a four-wheeler. No member in the family should be a government employee.

Post-matric scholarship

  • Students who are pursuing polytechnic/ ITI/ Degree/ above level courses from government/ aided/ private college affiliated from govt. universities/boards can apply
  • Day scholar students who are studying in college attached hostel or department-attached hostel can apply
  • 75% aggregate attendance is mandatory for the applicant to get a scholarship
  • The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs. 2.50 Lakh
  • Total land holding of the applicant’s family should not exceed 10 acres wet or 25 acres dry or 25 acres both together
  • In the applicant’s family, no one should be a government employee or pensioner except sanitary workers
  •  Applicant family should not own four-wheeler except taxi, tractor or auto
  • No one in the applicant’s family should be an income taxpayer.
  • The applicant must follow the following annual income criteria as finalized by the concerned authorities:-

Pre-matric scholarship

  • Applicant must belong to SC/ ST/ BC/ Disabled community
  • Annual income should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakh per annum
  • Applicants of SC/ ST/ BC/ Disabled community can apply if studying from class 5th to 10th
  • BC community applicants can apply only when the student is studying in 9th or 10th standard.

In-Eligible for Post Matric scholarship

  • An applicant who is studying in a private or deemed university are not eligible
  • An applicant who is pursuing correspondence or distance education courses are also not eligible
  • Students who get admission under the management/ spot quota can not apply for the scholarship.

Post-Metric Scholarship

  • On the homepage, click on the “Post-Matric Scholarship” link.
  • The application form will be displayed on your screen.
  • Download the Jnanabhumi Scholarship Application Form (JSAF).
  • You can also collect it from college.
  • Fill the application form.
  • Verify your details.
  • Attach all the documents.
  • Submit the signed copy of the form to the principal of your college.
  • The form will be verified by the college principal.
  • The form will be submitted through Jnanbhumi.
  • You will receive an SMS on confirming the submission.
