Our country's first female full-time Finance Minister, Shri Mati Nirmala Sitharaman presented her first budget in the second term of Prime Minister Modi, in which she told about the benefits of the work done for all sectors and the work to be done. Due to this, a scheme will be started to strengthen transportation facilities in villages, and women will especially benefit from it.
Features and main points of Aajeevika Gramin Express Yojana :-
Empowerment of women :-
In this scheme, special attention will be given to women, hence they can be empowered through this scheme.
Strengthening transport service:-
With this scheme, the transport service in the rural areas present in the country will be improved, so that the rural areas can be directly connected to the urban areas and block headquarters.
Employment facility :-
In this scheme, along with strengthening the transportation, employment facility will also be provided to all the members of the self-help groups joining DAY-NRLM. So that the possibilities of unemployment problem can be eliminated.
Applicable in total states :-
This scheme will be started in rural areas of all the states of the country, but the states of Delhi and Chandigarh have not been included in it. And all the states and union territories have given their consent for this.
Loan without interest :-
Under this scheme, all the members of the self-help groups will also be given the facility to buy vehicles. They can get a loan up to Rs 6.50 lakh for this and they will not have to pay any interest for this. And they can use it to buy e-rickshaw, 3 wheeler or 4 wheeler so that they can contribute in improving the transportation facility.
Selection Process :-
In this, such areas will be selected first which are extremely backward areas. After this other areas will be included in it.
Permit for vehicles:-
In this scheme, the State Transport Department will provide permits to vehicles through SRLM.
