The target of covering 4000 rural areas has been set by the Gujarat government through Kisan Suryoday Yojana in January 2021. This announcement has been made by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani. Through this scheme, new transmission lines and sub-stations will be installed by the Gujarat government in the coming 3 years, with an estimated cost of Rs 35000 crores.
State Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has started the second phase of the Kisan Suryodaya Yojana. The state government will spend the rest on its own. The Chief Minister has also said that the state government will cover 4000 villages under this scheme by the end of January 2021.
