To reduce this threat and to ban their open grazing, the Chhattisgarh government has started a scheme named Godhan Nyay Yojana. The latest news of this scheme is that under this scheme, on July 10 this year, the state government has decided to transfer money to the bank account of the beneficiaries through a single click. This work will be done around 11:30 am. With this, women of self-help groups and Gauthan committees will get a benefit of Rs 2.45 crore, and cow dung selling cattle herders will get a benefit of Rs 62.18 lakh. However, the government has decided to allocate an amount of Rs 582 crore for the benefit of the citizens of Kabirdham and some Gariaband districts.

The government has fixed the price of cow dung purchased by the government at Rs 2 per kilogram. This also includes transportation charges.

The price for which cow dung will be purchased has been decided after a committee meeting. Agriculture and Public Resources Minister Ravindra Choubey was the chairman of this committee and 5 other cabinet members were also present along with him.
Maintenance of the scheme:-
In this scheme, the work of purchasing cow dung, the work of financial management given to farmers, the work of manufacturing vermi compost and the process of selling it etc. will be supervised by a committee of Secretary and Deputy Secretary under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary.

Construction of Kul Gauthans:-
A total of 5 thousand Gauthans are to be constructed in the entire Chhattisgarh state. Out of which about 24 thousand Gauthans have been constructed in rural areas while only 337 Gauthans have been constructed in urban areas. These are also being addressed by the name Aajeevika Kendra. Cattle farmers will be able to sell cow dung by going to these cowsheds, from here the government will directly give benefits to the cattle farmers.
Price of vermi compost fertilizer:-
Cow dung will be converted into organic manure with the help of volunteers, the government will sell vermi compost manure to various departments and other people at the rate of Rs 8 per kilogram. The government has prepared an action plan for this also.
