Features of Chief Minister Milk Gift Scheme:-

• Objective of the scheme:- Haryana State Government wants to provide good nutrition to women and their children by starting this scheme. Therefore, this scheme is being launched to fulfill the objective of improving the nutritional level among them.
• Facility to be provided:- In this scheme, at least 200 ml of fortified skimmed milk is going to be provided free of cost to the beneficiaries by the state government.
• Benefits of the scheme:- The biggest benefit of the launch of this scheme is that by rooting out malnutrition in the state, the future generation will be made healthy and this scheme will also boost the nutrition level.
• Time of getting milk:- Under this scheme, milk will be provided to the beneficiary women and children in 6 different flavors 6 days a week. It will be distributed for at least 300 days in a year.
• Total beneficiaries: - Under this scheme, free milk will be given to about 9.03 lakh children and 2.95 lakh pregnant women and lactating women.

Eligibility Criteria in Chief Minister Milk Gift Scheme:-

• Residents of Haryana:- Under this scheme, free milk will be provided to women and their children living in Haryana.
• BPL Family:- Beneficiaries in this scheme will be from BPL category i.e. below poverty line.
• Eligibility of children:- The age eligibility for children joining this scheme has been fixed which is 1 to 6 years. Children of this age group will benefit from it.
• Eligibility of women:- Pregnant and lactating women of Haryana state will be provided this benefit.

How to apply to get milk in Chief Minister Milk Gift Scheme:-

• Like this scheme being launched by the Haryana State Government, distribution of milk to the beneficiary women and children will be provided by the Anganwadi center of their area. Anganwadi workers will go to the homes of the beneficiaries and provide them milk. Before this, Anganwadi workers will go to their homes and collect information about the beneficiaries. Only those who are eligible will be provided milk free of cost.
• Therefore, the state government is starting this scheme to focus special attention on health due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. So that children are born healthy and they get nutritious food right from childhood. So that they can easily fight any epidemic like Corona virus.
