If you want to take benefit of this scheme then you are required to submit a duly filled form attached with all the required documents to the concerned authority. After submitting the form the concerned authority will verify all your documents. After successful verification, the amount of the pension will be disbursed into the bank account of the beneficiary. The bank account of the beneficiary should be linked with an Aadhar Card in order to receive a pension.

The government of Punjab has launched this scheme for old-age citizens of Punjab who do not have a proper income source. All the citizens of Punjab whose annual income is below Rs 60000 can apply under this scheme. The government is going to provide a Rs 750 per month pension under this scheme. The minimum age for women applicants to apply under the scheme is 58 years and for men applicants 65 years. Citizens can collect Application forms from the district social security officer, child development project officer, Seva Kendra, department website, SDM office, Anganwadi Centre, Panchayat, and BDPO office. The verification of the form will be done by the child development project officer within one month from the date of submitting the application.

Eligibility criteria

If you want to apply under Punjab Pension Scheme then it is mandatory to fulfill the following important eligibility criteria for the following pension scheme:-

Financial assistance to dependent children Scheme

  • The age of the child should be below 21 years. If the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
  • The family's total annual income should be Rs. 60,000 including business, rental, or interest income.
  • Only those children can take benefit from this scheme whose mother/has become physically or mentally incapable to look after financial needs /whose father or both have passed away / whose parents are regularly absent from the home

Old-age pension scheme

  • The age of the female applicant should be 58 years or more. If the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
  • Applicant having maximum 2.5-acre chahi land and maximum 5-acre barani land ownership or 5-acre land in waterlogged area
  • The male age applicant should be 65 years or more.
  • The total annual income of the applicant should not be more than Rs 60000 which includes business or rental or interest income per the report of the revenue department.

Financial assistance to widows and destitute women Scheme

  • The age of the widow applicant should be below 50 years, If the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
  • Unmarried women's age is 30 years, if the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
  • The total annual income of the applicant should be Rs 60000 or less.

Financial assistance to persons with disability Scheme

  • Citizens who have more than 50% disability will be able to take benefit from this scheme.
  • The annual income of the applicant should not be more than Rs 60000.
  • Mentally disabled people are also eligible to take benefit of this Financial assistance to persons with disability Scheme.

Indira Gandhi National old-age pension scheme

  • The minimum age to apply under the scheme is 60 years, if the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
  • Applicants who belong to below poverty line category
  • A person covered in socio-economic caste census 2011.

Indira Gandhi National disability pension Scheme

  • The poverty line category is those persons who are covered in the socio-economic caste census 2011
  • The minimum age to apply under the scheme is 18 years. If the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
  • Disability level should be 80% or more dwarfs citizens also apply.

Financial assistance to acid victims Scheme

  • The acid attack victim must be a resident of Punjab
  • A medical certificate issued by the civil surgeon along with an application
  • The applicant is required to submit the application to the district social security office

Indira Gandhi National widow pension scheme

  • The minimum age to apply under the scheme is 40 years. If the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
  • Applicants should belong to the below poverty line category.
  • Those persons who are covered in the socio-economic caste census 2011.

Under this scheme financial assistance of Rs 750 per month is provided to widows and destitute women whose annual income is not more than Rs 60000. Women of age below 58 years and unmarried women above the age of 30 years can take benefit from this scheme. This Scheme is launched for those persons who have disabilities so that they can be able to earn their livelihood. Under this scheme financial assistance of Rs 750 per month is provided to those handicapped persons who have more than 50% disability. The benefit of this scholarship scheme is also provided to mentally retarded citizens. The annual family income, in order to get the benefit of this scheme, is Rs 60000. Under the scheme application forms will be collected from district social security officers, child development project officers, Seva Kendra, department website, SDM office, Anganwadi Centre, Panchayat, and BDPO office. The verification of the form will be done by the child development project officer within one month from the date of submitting the application.

This scheme has been launched by the government of Punjab in order to provide pensions to elderly citizens of Punjab. For those citizens whose age is between 60 years to 79 years pension of Rs 200 per month will be provided and for those people whose age is above 80 years pension of Rs 500 per month will be provided. In order to get benefits from this scheme, the age of the applicant should be 60 years or more. The applicant must belong to the below poverty line category. Only those persons who are covered in the socio-economic caste census 2011 will be able to take benefit from this scheme.

All those widows who belong to the below poverty line category will be able to take benefit of this pension scheme. The minimum age to get the benefit of this scheme is 40 years. Those women whose age is between 40 to 79 years will be provided with a pension of Rs 300 per month and those women whose age is 80 years and above will be provided with a pension of Rs 500 per month. Only those persons who are covered in the socio-economic caste census 2011 will be provided with the benefit of this scheme.

This Indira Gandhi pension scheme has been launched for those persons who have a disability level up to 80% or more. The minimum age to apply under the pension scheme is 18 years. Those citizens whose age is between 18 years to 79 years will be provided with a pension of Rs 300 per month and those persons whose age is above 80 years will be provided with a pension of Rs 500 per month. Dwarfs citizens will also be provided with a pension under this scheme

This scheme has been launched for those women who have suffered an acid attack. Under this scheme financial assistance of Rs, 8000 per month will be provided to the victim for rehabilitation. This scheme has been launched with the objective to provide monthly financial assistance to those females who have suffered an acid attack and rendered 40% disability. Under this scheme, the victim or parents of the victim or guardian or legal heir or family member or any other relative may submit an application to the concerned district security officer. The amount of pension will be transferred into the account of the beneficiary
