The government will provide financial assistance of ₹ 1400 to pregnant women living in rural areas of India and living below the poverty line. Along with this, the government will also provide ₹ 300 to the ASHA associate for incentive for delivery and ₹ 300 will also be given after the delivery.
Pregnant women living in urban areas of the country will be given assistance of ₹ 1000 by the government after delivery. Also, Asha associates who help during pregnancy will also be given ₹ 200 before delivery and ₹ 200 after delivery. 200 will be given.

Janani Suraksha Yojana Features and Benefits:-
- Janani Suraksha Yojana is operational in our country from 12th April in the year 2005.
- Janani Suraksha Yojana is applicable in all the union territories and other states of the country.
- Under the Janani Suraksha Yojana, the focus has been on some important states of India, which include the states of Bihar, Orissa, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Chhattisgarh etc.
- It is very important for every beneficiary registered in this scheme to have MCH card as well as Janani Suraksha card.
- Janani Suraksha Yojana has been started for pregnant women living below the poverty line.
- Under this scheme, pregnant women will be provided medical treatment as well as financial assistance by the government.
- Under the scheme, ASHA associates in rural areas will be given Rs 300 each before and after pregnancy. In this way he will receive ₹600.
- Under the scheme in urban areas, ASHA associates will be given ₹ 200 before pregnancy and ₹ 200 after pregnancy.
- A total of ₹ 1400 will be given to pregnant women in rural areas and ₹ 1000 will be given to pregnant women in urban areas.
- Those women included in the scheme who have given birth to a child at home through Anganwadi or Asha's treatment will be given ₹ 500.
- After the free delivery of the child, information regarding vaccination of the mother and child will continue to be sent to them for the next 5 years and free vaccination will also be given to them.
- All women registered under this scheme will be given absolutely free tests before at least two pregnancies.
Janani Suraksha Yojana Eligibility:-
low performing state
Under low performing states, women whose delivery has been done through a government health center or a private institute will be eligible.
high performing state
Under high-performing states, only those women who fall below the poverty line will be eligible for Janani Suraksha Yojana.
caste eligibility
Pregnant women belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be covered under the scheme. However, for this, it is necessary that the delivery of the woman belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe has taken place in a Government Health Center or a Private Accredited Institute.
