National Foreign Scholarship Scheme 2023

Key features of this scheme:
Objective: The objective of this scheme is to encourage reserved category students for higher education. Through this scheme, students of this category will be given financial assistance for studying abroad.
Benefits: Under this scheme, students will be given scholarship to pursue post graduate and research related studies. Expenses for conferences, seminars and workshops etc. will not be given in this scholarship.
Beneficiaries: This scheme is especially for Scheduled Caste students. But for this it is mandatory that they have completed their graduation or post graduation. This scholarship will be given to the student till his education is completed.
Mode of Application: Applications for this scheme will be submitted offline. To apply in this, the applicant will have to go to its official site and fill the form online and then send its hard copy to the official address of the Ministry of Social Justice.
Number of Seats: A total of 100 students will be given benefits under this scheme. Out of which 90 seats are for Scheduled Caste students, 6 for Tribal area students and the remaining 4 seats are for students whose father is an agricultural labourer.

Eligibility Criteria For The Scholarship Scheme:
To avail benefits under this scheme, it is mandatory for the applicant to be an Indian citizen. And his age should not be more than 35 years as on 1 April 2017.
To avail the benefits of this scheme, the total income of the applicant's family should be less than Rs 6 lakh per year. This income should be the annual income of the entire family and not the personal income of any member of the family.
To avail the benefit of this scheme, the applicant will have to score marks in the previous examinations as per the prescribed standard. If this information is found incorrect, the applicant's admission can be canceled at any time.

Documents required for registration :-
Age Certificate: Under this, the applicant will have to submit self-attested marksheet of his matriculation for his age certificate.
Income Certificate: To prove the income of his family, the applicant will have to submit the family income certificate or pay slip of the earning members of the family.
Category: This scheme is only for Scheduled Caste students, for this the applicant will have to submit his caste certificate.
Marksheet: To verify the marks of his previous classes, the applicant will have to submit his marksheet along with the form.
Other Documents: Apart from this, the applicant will also have to submit other documents like if he is getting any other scholarship, then its certificate, documents of merit scholar ship etc.

Important Facts :-
Under this scheme, students who have applied for post graduation will be given scholarship for 3 years. And those who have applied for research will be given a scholarship for 4 years.
