In order to instill patriotism among the youth population of the country and to make them aware of the ongoing condition of the country, the Government of India makes several efforts. Recently the Government of India has launched National Youth Parliament Scheme. Through this scheme, mock sessions of the parliament will be arranged for students so that they can put up their ideas and know the working of the parliament. About National Youth Parliament Scheme 2022
In order to promote the youth parliament program, the Government of India has launched the National youth parliament scheme. Through this scheme, mock sessions will be arranged for the students who are studying in schools and colleges so that they can become aware of the working of the parliament and also be able to put up their ideas. For the implementation of this scheme, the government has launched a dedicated web portal. Through this portal, various types of training resources in the form of tutorials, literature, training videos, etc will be made available so that participants can get e-training. This portal will be used for implementing and monitoring the scheme. The implementation of this scheme will be done by the Ministry of parliamentary affairs. All the recognized educational institutions can participate in this scheme.
National Youth Parliament Scheme Registration And Selection
The registration under the National Youth Parliament Scheme will be done through the portal. All the schools/institutions can register themselves through the Aadhar credential of principal/head/register/dean as may be prescribed from time to time. The duration for sitting in parliament will be 1 hour. The participants can speak in any scheduled language but Hindi and English are preferred. The youth parliament sitting will be arranged in the institution’s premises. A youth parliament sitting will consist of about 50 to 55 students.
- The students from class 9th to 12th, graduation and post-graduation can participate in this scheme. Schools will select students from class 9th to 12th with the approval of their principal for Kishore sabha of the youth parliament. Similarly, universities and colleges will select students of undergraduate and postgraduate levels with the approval of the registrar for Tarun sabha of the youth parliament.
- All those students who will take part in this scheme will be awarded a certificate of participation. Other than that teacher in charge/head of the institution will also get a certificate of appreciation. These certificates can be printed from the login credentials of the head of the Institution/principal
Subjects For Discussion At Youth Parliament
Students can select only those subjects that are non-contravention. In the youth parliament students are not allowed to make any kind of direct or indirect remark in the speeches for any political parties or leaders/persons etc. Every year the government is going to fix a common theme on government policies and programs. Outline Of National Youth Parliament Scheme
- For the proper implementation of national youth parliament scheme the institution can invite an MP/ex-MP/MLA/ex-MLA/MLC/ex-MLC or any person of eminence as the chief guest who will oversee the performance of the youth parliament sitting of the institution
- Through this scheme Kishor sabha will be held for students from class 9th to 12th and Tarun sabha will be held for students of undergraduate or postgraduate level
- All those institutions who want to participate in this program are required to register themselves on the web portal. After successful registration the institution will be able to conduct youth parliament program in their Institute
- Students and teacher incharge/head of the institution will get certificate of participation and certificate of appreciation respectively on the successful completion of the youth parliament session
- Institutions are required to upload reports, photos, videos of the youth parliament session conducted by them on the web portal for scrutiny and verification by the ministry
