Pradhanmantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana 2022
Till now the mid-day meal scheme was being operated by the central government in government and government-aided schools of the country. But in view of the increasing problem of malnutrition among the children of the country, the central government has decided to start the Pradhanmantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana. The Mid Day Meal Scheme will be included in the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana. In order to provide nutritious food to the primary school children of the country. This scheme has been approved on 29 September 2021. This decision of the Central Government is very commendable because through this the children of economically weaker sections will be saved from diseases like malnutrition.

In the meeting of the Central Board on September 28, 2021, it has been decided to start this scheme. Through this scheme, about 11.8 crore children of 11.2 lakh government and aided schools of the country will be benefited and this scheme will provide nutritious food to the children for the coming 5 years. Vegetables and protein rich food will be included in the menu for a nutritious meal for children.

Budget fixed under nutrition power construction scheme
1.31 lakh crore will be spent for the smooth operation of this scheme. Out of which Rs 54061.73 crore will be contributed by the Central Government and Rs 31733.17 crore will be contributed by the State Governments. Apart from this, the central government will also provide an additional Rs 45000 crore for purchasing nutritious food grains. For the smooth operation of this scheme in the hill states of the country, 90% of the expenditure will be borne by the central government and only 10% will be borne by the state government. This scheme will be operated for the next 5 years i.e. from 2021-22 to 2025-26.

The state governments of the country have urged the central government to pay honorarium to cooks, cooking assistants through Direct Benefit Transfer and also schools should also be provided funds through Direct Benefit Transfer. Now the children of the country can be saved from malnutrition by benefiting under Pradhanmantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana 2022. By which their healthy future will be created and they will be able to become self-reliant for the future.

Purpose of Prime Minister's Nutrition Shakti Nirman Yojana
The main objective of starting the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana is to build a healthy future for the children of poor families of the country by saving them from diseases like malnutrition. Because financially weak families are not able to maintain their children well due to their financial constraints. Due to which they face the problem of diseases like malnutrition. But now the central government will provide nutritious food to the children studying in all government and government aided primary schools through this scheme. Around 11.8 crore children will be benefited under this scheme. The expenditure on this will be borne by the Central Government and the State Governments together.
