According to the promise made by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Rs. 5,290 crores has been released for the Rythu Bandhu scheme. As of 22 June 2020, the assistance amount has been deposited in the bank accounts of about 50 lakh farmers. Because of this reason, the chief minister of Telangana has enhanced the Rythu Bandhu Amount by 1000 per acre. Now under this scheme farmers are provided financial assistance of Rs 5000 per acre. In 2019-20 the required amount was Rs 5100 crore, in 2020-21 the required amount was Rs 6900 crore and in 2021-22 the required amount is Rs 7508 crores.  This year the benefit amount under the Rythu Bandhu scheme will transfer into the bank account of the farmers till 25 June 2021.
