Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal
• The applicant should be confirmed and serving in the present school in the present post for at least 5 years
• The age of the applicant should be 59 years or less
• The place of posting should be more than 25 km in case of secondary school
• Primary teachers are not eligible to apply within the same circle
• No teaching/nonteaching staff will be allowed to apply within 5 years of the last transfer
• If anybody has refused the transfer order then that person will not be able to apply again before the completion of 7 years
• If a teacher is under suspension or facing any disciplinary proceedings or judicial proceedings or charges of financial irregularity then he/she shall not be able to apply for transfer

• Documents relating to illness
• Documents relating to physical disablement
• Birth certificate of a child for a female teacher
• Distance certificate between places of posting of both spouses
• Distance certificate between the place of posting and permanent address
• The size of the document should not exceed 200 KB
• Ration card
• Residence certificate
• Passport size photograph
• Mobile number
• Email id etc

Procedure To Apply For Transfer

• First of all, go to the official website of the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal
• The home page will appear before you
• On the home page, we are required to click on apply for transfer
• A new page will appear before you containing some instructions
• You have to read these instructions carefully and tick on the check box
• After that, you have to click on proceed
• A Login form will appear before you
• In this form, you have to select your OSMS type
• Now you have to enter the teacher’s unique code, PAN card number, and captcha code
• After that, you have to click on the login
