Mukhyamantri Street Light Scheme 2022

This scheme has been implemented by the Delhi government. Under this Mukhyamantri street light scheme, the places in the state where it is mostly dark, those places will be illuminated by the government by installing LED lights , which will reduce the problem of movement in the dark. It will be the responsibility of 3 DISCOMs (distribution companies) to install these street lights and each DISCOM will install 70,000 street lights. Like the installation of CCTV cameras in Delhi, the state government will follow the same procedure for the installation of street lights. Street lights will also be installed outside the houses of people under the Chief Minister Street Light Scheme 2022 in Delhi.

Objective of Delhi Mukhyamantri Street Light Scheme

As you all know that many schemes are being run by the Delhi government to keep women safe, similarly this scheme has been included. The main objective of this Mukhyamantri Street Light Yojana 2022 of the Delhi Government, under this scheme, the places of the state where it is mostly dark, all those places will be illuminated by the government by installing LED lights, so that there is no movement in the dark. The responsibility of installing and maintaining street lights will be of the three discoms of Delhi. Under the Delhi Chief Minister Street Light Scheme, 20 to 40 watt LED lights will be installed. The tender process of Delhi CM Street Light Scheme 2022 will also include a warranty clause of 3 to 5 years. Under the CM Street Light Scheme, an investment of Rs 100 crores will be made for installing street lights and subsequently Rs 10 crores per annum. The State Government of Delhi is committed to ensuring that there is no darkness in any street of the State. All the lights installed under the CM Street Light Scheme will be automatic and will also have sensors.

Government to pay electricity cost of street lights

The state government of Delhi will decide how much electricity is required to run 1 light. Electricity bills of the people will be deducted as much as there is an automatic system. Delhi CM Street Light Scheme will ensure that the entire state is covered with street lights.

Now with the launch of this CM Street Light Scheme, the permission of MLA and building owner will be required. People can now get these lights installed outside their house, shop, and street. Till now there are about 7 lakh street lights in Delhi and now 2 lakh more street lights are being installed. Delhi Chief Minister Street Light Scheme is the first such scheme in the world in which tender has been started for 30 percent of the existing street light capacity.

Mukhyamantri Street Light Yojana Apply Online

Under this scheme, there is no need for common people to fill the application form, but if a consumer wants to install street lights in any place according to him, then he can complete this process by meeting his MLA. People will be able to submit their requests for street lights to their local MLAs. The permission of the building owners will be obtained upon request. On getting permission, street lights will be installed after the survey location is passed by the power company.
