Benefits and features of Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Health Insurance Scheme:-

Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Swasthya Bima Yojana has been started by the Government of Rajasthan.
Under this scheme, health cover up to ₹ 500000 will be provided to the beneficiaries.
Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Health Insurance Scheme has been launched by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on 30 January 2021.
1 crore 10 lakh families will benefit through this scheme.
Earlier the health cover under this scheme was ₹ 330000, now it has been increased to ₹ 500000.
Under this scheme, treatment up to ₹ 50000 for common diseases and ₹ 500000 for serious diseases can be availed.
Under Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Health Insurance Scheme, you can get your treatment done in both private and government hospitals.
Under this scheme, medical expenses for 5 days before and 15 days after hospitalization are covered.
To avail the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Swasthya Bima Yojana, it is mandatory for the beneficiaries to show their Aadhar Card or Jan Aadhar Card.
The annual premium under this scheme is Rs 1750 crore, out of which Rs 1400 crore will be borne by the state government.
Earlier, 1401 packages were available under this scheme, which has been increased to 1576.
Soon state portability will also be started under this scheme. This means that now the beneficiaries of this scheme will be able to get free treatment in other states also.
Earlier this scheme was known as Bhamashah Health Insurance Scheme.
Under this scheme, families eligible for Socio-Economic Survey 2011 and National Food Security have been included.
Under this scheme, cashless treatment will be given to the beneficiaries.
This scheme is a family floater scheme.

What are the things not covered under Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Health Insurance Scheme?:-

Medical expenses related to overuse of any drug.
Congenital external diseases, anomalies etc.
Diseases resulting from suicide or attempted suicide.
Unnecessary plastic surgery.
Vaccination is not covered under this scheme.
Unnecessary hospitalization
There are surgical procedures to resemble the opposite sex, including hormone replacement therapy.
Unnecessary dental treatment.
Unnecessary vitamins and tonics.

Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Swasthya Bima Yojana 2023 Claim Settlement:-
Beneficiaries will have to carry some essential documents under this scheme during their treatment. Through these documents the beneficiaries will be able to get their treatment done in the hospital. Document verification will be done by the hospital. After which the hospital will contact the insurance company and settle the claim. These important documents are Bhamashah card, enrollment slip and patient's Aadhar card. To avail the benefits of this scheme, it is mandatory for the patient's Bhamashah card to be linked to the Aadhar card. The family's HH ID number may also be required at the time of claim. After verification, cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh will be provided to the beneficiary.

Eligibility for Mahatma Gandhi Health Insurance Scheme:-
It is mandatory for the beneficiary to be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
To avail the benefits of this scheme, it is mandatory for the beneficiary to have Aadhar Card and Jan Aadhar Card.
Beneficiaries should include households eligible for National Food Security as per the Socio-Economic Survey 2011.
The beneficiary should be from an economically poor family.
