There are many engineers in our country who are unemployed even after obtaining their degree. A scheme has been started by the Madhya Pradesh state government to train some such unemployed engineers and make them skilled contractors. This scheme was started so that engineers can contribute to the development of the infrastructure of the state. Complete information related to this scheme is shown here.

Features of Chief Minister Young Engineer Contractor Scheme (Key Features) :-
Some important features of this scheme are as follows –

Degree holding engineers:- Only those engineers who have obtained engineering degree within the last 3 years can avail the benefit of this scheme. Earlier engineers have not been included in this scheme.
Training:- Out of those engineers who have engineering degree, 500 young engineers will be given training under this scheme. This training will be given for 6 months.
Training Process:- In this scheme, the training given to the candidates is divided into 3 parts. In the first part, academic training will be given for 2 months. In the second part, candidates will be given knowledge related to the department in the offices, how the work is done there, this will be for 1 month. And in the third and final part, candidates will be given field training in the remaining 3 months.
Implementation of the scheme:- For the implementation of this scheme, a nodal agency has been formed by the Public Works Department, under which the complete supervision of this scheme will be done.
Salary given during training:- Candidates participating in this scheme will also be given some salary during training. Engineers obtaining Bachelor's degree will be given a grant of Rs 5000 per month during their training. During field training, an amount of Rs 2000 will be paid to the candidates as additional allowance.
Work with Contractors:- Trained Young Engineers Contractors will get the opportunity to work with reputed contractors through sub-contract, and after this in future they will be able to take contracts themselves.
Additional Loan:- After training, young engineers will be registered under the centralized registration system of the state government and will also be provided a loan up to Rs 25 lakh under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana.

Eligibility Criteria for the scheme :-
Before becoming a part of this scheme, candidates will have to meet the following eligibility criteria.

Resident of Madhya Pradesh:- This scheme has been started by Madhya Pradesh Government for the residents of Madhya Pradesh, hence it is mandatory for the candidates to be a native of MP.
Bachelor Degree:- Only those engineers who have Bachelor degree can participate in this scheme. And also the candidates must have obtained this degree within 3 years.
Number of candidates in training:- Only 500 engineers will be included in this scheme every year. More engineers than this have not yet been allowed to participate.
Other Quotas:- There are separate quotas for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and women in this scheme, in which they can apply for the reservation category.

Documents Required for the Scheme :-
The list of some essential documents used in this scheme is as follows –

Native Certificate:- Since this scheme is for the residents of Madhya Pradesh, they will have to provide their native certificate.
Caste Certificate:- In this scheme, there is a separate quota for Scheduled Castes, Tribes and women, so the youth applying for the reservation category will have to provide their caste certificate.
Bank Account Passbook:- In this scheme, the amount received during training will be deposited directly into the bank account of the candidate, hence they will also have to submit a copy of their bank passbook.
Marksheet of 10th and 12th: - For proof of age, a copy of the passed marksheet of the candidates of 10th and 12th will also be attached.
BE Marksheet and Degree:- This scheme is only for the youth who have obtained Bachelor's degree within 3 years, hence they will have to give a copy of both their BE marksheet and degree.
Identity Card:- To identify the candidate in the scheme, they will also have to provide a copy of any one of their identity card like Voter ID, Aadhar Card or PAN Card.

Process to apply for the scheme (Mukhyamantri Yuva Engineer Contractor Yojana Application Process)
Candidates can participate in the scheme through the following process –

First of all, the candidates applying will have to visit the official website of Madhya Pradesh www.mponline.gov.in/portal/.
As soon as you visit this website, you will have to create your ID password, for which you will have to pay a fee of Rs 500.
After the ID and password are created, you log in. As soon as you log in, the link of Mukhyamantri Yuva Engineer Contractor Yojana will appear in front of you, click on it.
On clicking here, a form will open, fill it carefully and upload all the documents along with it.
After this process is completed, you submit the form. As soon as you submit your form, your form will be checked manually and its status will be sent through SMS.
If your form is rejected then you will have to try again. And if accepted, you can download the eligibility certificate, but for this you will have to make an FDR of Rs 25,000 on this website www.mponline.gov.in/Portal/Services/PWD/FRMLoginPage.aspx?pageId=3 Tax will have to be deposited.
Besides, you will also have to pay Rs 2,100 as registration fee for this scheme at the end.
