Farmers Easy Installment Scheme on Tube Well Electricity Connections UP 2023

Features and benefits of Kisan Easy Installment Scheme:-

• Facility provided in the scheme: - In this scheme, the farmers of the state are being given the facility that now they will not have to pay their remaining electricity bills at one time. Rather, they can pay the electricity bill on installment basis.
• Number of installments:- Talking about the number of installments, farmers have been given the option to pay their electricity bill in 6 installments. That means farmers can pay their entire remaining electricity bill not in one go but in 6 installments.
• Interest waiver:- By starting this scheme, the Energy Department of Uttar Pradesh has said that interest waiver on tube well bills has also been given in it. This means that till now the farmers will not have to pay additional fees or interest to pay the electricity bill. But this exemption has been given to the farmers who have paid the outstanding electricity bills till January 31, 2020.
• Relief to farmers:- Through this scheme, those farmers are getting huge relief, whose burden of electricity bills is very high. And due to interest being charged every month, he is not able to repay it. They can now pay their bills in easy installments without any interest.
• Benefit to electricity suppliers:- Not only farmers will benefit from this scheme but electricity suppliers will also benefit from it. Because the electricity supply companies will get the outstanding amount of their bills.
• Objective of the scheme:- Uttar Pradesh government is starting this scheme with the aim that in the coming 2 to 3 years the income of the farmers should double as compared to before. And under this scheme, farmers are also being motivated to pay their electricity bills on time. Apart from this, reducing the increasing load on the electricity department is also one of the main objectives of this scheme.

Some rules in Kisan Easy Installment Scheme:-

There are some rules of the Kisan Aasan Kist Yojana launched by the Uttar Pradesh Government, the information of which we are displaying here –

• Talking about the first rule of this scheme, farmers have to decide on 6 easy installments to pay their remaining electricity bill amount. And your entire electricity bill has to be paid in these installments.
• Under this scheme, farmers will be required to pay at least 5% of their remaining electricity bill or Rs 1500 and their current electricity bill, they will have to pay this electricity bill between February 1 and February 29. Only after this will they start getting the benefit of paying the outstanding electricity bill in installments.
• After doing this, farmers are required to deposit the electricity bill of that month along with the installment of their outstanding electricity bill.
• If for some reason the farmer is not able to pay his outstanding electricity bill installment and current electricity bill, he will have to pay 2 months' bill and installment in the next month. If he does not pay this on time, his registration will be cancelled. And the farmer whose registration has been canceled will be considered a defaulter.
• The good thing is that if farmers pay their entire electricity bill before time, then they can also be given the facility of rebate in electricity bill in future.

Eligibility Criteria in Kisan Easy Installment Scheme:-

• Resident of Uttar Pradesh:- This scheme has been started by the UP government to benefit the farmers of UP.
• Farmers of urban and rural areas:- All farmers can get benefits in this scheme, whether they are city dwellers or village residents, all are included in it.
• Regular electricity bill payers: – Those consumers of UP who pay all their electricity bills within the stipulated time are eligible for this scheme.
• Those who have received notice for recovery of electricity bill: - Those consumers who have received notice for recovery of electricity bill under Section 5 are also included in this scheme.
• People with pending cases in the court:- People who have pending cases in the court will also be benefited by the UP government under this scheme.
