Saubhagya Scheme Uttar Pradesh 2023

Features of Uttar Pradesh Saubhagya Yojana:-

• In Uttar Pradesh, the government has set a target of identifying 3 to 4 crore people and providing electricity to them. In which people from all the villages and cities of UP will be included.
• In this scheme, the money spent on providing electricity to the beneficiaries and repairing the electrical equipment is to be paid by the government for 5 years. Out of which 60% will be done by the Central Government and 40% by the State Government.
• A provision has been made in this scheme that as per SECC – 2011 census, the families who fall in BPL category of rural areas will get the facility of electricity connection for free, and the families who belong to general category will have to pay 10 installments for this. You will have to pay Rs 500.
• In this scheme, along with electricity connection, 5 LED bulbs, 1 fan and 1 battery will also be provided to the beneficiary. Along with this, subsidy will also be provided by the government in transformers, meters and wires.
• In order to speed up the operation of this scheme, the state government had set a deadline of March 2019 to provide electricity to all the places in Uttar Pradesh, which has been successful to a great extent.

Eligibility Criteria for Uttar Pradesh Saubhagya Yojana:-

• People living in Uttar Pradesh:- The benefit of the scheme started by the Uttar Pradesh government to provide electricity to every house is to be given only to the people living in Uttar Pradesh.

• For poor people:- The beneficiaries of this scheme will be only those people who are socially, economically and caste poor.
• People of rural areas:- In this scheme, benefits will be provided to all the people of rural areas, no matter which category they fall in like BPL, Other Backward Classes and General. Everyone will be eligible to avail its benefits.
• BPL and other backward classes of urban areas: - In this scheme, those people who live in urban areas and their names will be included in the list of BPL i.e. people falling below the poverty line and other backward classes. Only they will be considered eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme. Common people will not get any benefit from this scheme.

Uttar Pradesh Saubhagya Yojana Required Documents:-

• Identity Card:- While applying to avail the benefit of this scheme of UP Government of providing free electricity, people will have to submit some documents for their identity like voter ID card, PAN card and copy of Aadhar card.
• Caste Certificate:- In this scheme, benefits are to be given to poor and other backward class people, hence it is necessary that the applicants also submit their caste certificate.
• BPL or APL card holders:- Both BPL and general families of rural areas have been included in this scheme, hence applicants should have their BPL or APL card.

Uttar Pradesh Saubhagya Yojana Application Process :-

• To avail the benefits of this scheme, the beneficiaries will have to visit the Saubhagya portal https://saubhagya.gov.in/.
  
  
• After reaching this website, applicants will have to register in it, for this they will see ‘Guest’ option on the right side of their screen. Click on it.
• Now they have to sign themselves up in this portal from here. For this, there will be a registration form in front of them, in which some information will be asked which you have to fill.
• After filling all the information, applicants will have to click on the sign up button. If you are already registered in it then you can log in directly using your user ID and password.
• After this, from here you will get all the information related to the application and the scheme, and you can apply accordingly and avail the benefits of this scheme.

Process to avail benefits:-

After applying for this scheme, boothcamps will be organized where its benefits will be provided. Along with this, a committee will be formed at the district level, a report related to this will be prepared by them, which will be given to the government and then the government will examine this report and then benefits will be provided to the beneficiaries.

In this way, such a scheme has been started by both the central and state governments to provide relief to the people from the electricity problem in the country.
