As we all know that in today’s world digitalization is one of the main concerns of our current government. So, today in this article we will share with you all the details about the Item portal launched recently by the Prime Minister of our country. In this article, we will provide you with all of the details about the I-Stemas announced by the concerned authorities such as the benefits, features registration process, the login process, and all the other details.

With increasing Science and Technology, there are many portals that are being launched by the government of India, and one of the portals that were launched recently is the I-stem portal through which you can locate your nearest Science and Technology labs and institutions for further research and development work. This portal has been designed by the concerned authorities to help young talent locate Science and Technology facilities with less hard work and in a hassle-free manner.

Through the I-stem portal, researchers and resources will be linked judicially for the help of the common public. Researchers will be able to locate different types of facilities that will be needed for their research and development work through the portal. Also through the portal, the researchers will be able to register themselves for a quick reservation in any of the research labs or laboratories. The portal will also hold a database of all R & D facilities established in institutions around the country.

This new scheme for the istem.gov.in portal was announced by Prime Minister Narender Modi today at Bengaluru at a Press Conference. Also through the implementation of this scheme, many private and public institutions will be allowed to list themselves on the portal so that their lab equipment plus their lab facilities can be used by all the individual researchers. It has options for sharing equipment, that is if you have equipment then you can list that in the portal which can further be shared with all of the other students also.

To endorse digitization in the country, PM Narendra Modi launched a portal named item “India Science Technology & Engineering Facilities Map Portal”. For building an uncommon “One Nation One Research Web Portal”, authorities of the Principal Scientific Adviser initiated the I-STEM website.

As everyone knows, India is among those countries that are the swiftest expanding digital consumer markets. In all measures, India is on its way in order to become an upper-level digital country in the world.  Interest websites are considered of great value to companies for around 2 decades in digitized India.

On 3rd January, the Honourable PM of India introduced the I-STEM (107th Edition of the Indian Science Congress) portal in Bangalore. This portal generally links resources and researchers and also includes details of all research and development facilities present in different institutions across the country.

I-STEM website is developed and managed by the Nanoscience Centre of the Indian Institute of Science located in Bengaluru. The IP of this portal is well protected and provides complete transparency. In addition, this website also proffers the R&D facility's live inventory in the industry, national labs, and academia.

I-STEM is a kind of entry portal for researchers or users to find the type of facility required for their R&D. Furthermore, to get search for the closest and soonest location of their desired facility. After getting the facility, users can reserve it for themselves by paying a specific amount.

The significant advantage of implementing I-STEM is that it associates researchers with resources. With the assistance of this online website, users can easily find the resources or equipment that are present nearest to them. They can make a reservation of that particular resource/ facility in which they are interested. istem.gov.in portal holds the database, which comprises information regarding facilities distributed all over the country.

Along with the online portal, authorities have also launched an I-STEM mobile application easily available in the play store. The essential steps to download I-STEM mobile app are explained in the upcoming section of this article. Follow these steps and get the app on your mobile phone.

Dear readers, PM Narendra Modi has launched a portal called “Indian Science, Technology and Engineering facilities Map (I-STEM)“. In order to build an unfamiliar “one nation, one research web portal”, the authorities of the chief scientific advisor started the I-STEM website. If you are looking for more interesting information like this, we recommend candidates follow this post and become aware of all the details about the I-STEM website.

istem.gov.in – The I-STEM web portal is a national portal that is a portal for researchers to locate the specific facility(s) they need for their research and development work and locate the facility closest to them or available at the earliest. To protect the intellectual property involved in building the I-STEM portal, a provisional patent application entitled “Method and Process for Effective Use of Geographically Dispersed Resources” has been filed with the Indian Patent Office.

As an important national program to create a unique ‘One Nation One Research Web Portal‘ for the scientific community, the Indian Science Technology and Engineering Facilities Map (I-STEM) by the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA), the Government of India been started. : Connect researchers and resources, maintain a database of all R&D facilities set up in institutions across the country and enable their sharing in a transparent manner. The IP-protected portal is created and managed by the Center for Nanoscience, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

The Indian Science, Technology, and Engineering facilities Map (I-STEM) is a dynamic and interactive national portal, hosting various science programs, initiated by the Office of the Chief Scientific Adviser, Government. India. The main objective of having this portal (developed using public funds) is to provide support to researchers in need in various ways and to enhance the R&D ecosystem to meet the needs of the country’s population. The support planned through these programs through this unique portal is designed in such a way that each researcher inculcates the concept of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat in his mind, nature, and behavior and works with full dedication to improve the use of the resources created across the country, using taxpayers’ money i.e. public funds.

Recently Honorable PM Shri Narendra Modi said that my new decade is starting with the program of science. He said that as we start the year 2020 with the positivity of development driven by science and technology, we take another step towards fulfilling our dreams. Let us tell you that during the program, PM Shri Narendra Modi said that the youth will have to move forward in 4 steps to move the country forward.

The Indian Science Technology and Engineering facilities Map (I-STEM), the national web portal for sharing R&D facilities was formally launched in January 2020 by the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. I-STEM (www.istem.gov.in) is an initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Govt. of India (PSA, GOI) under the aegis of the Prime Minister Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC) mission. I-STEM project has been accorded extension for five years, until 2026, and enters its second phase with added features.

The goal of I-STEM is to strengthen the R&D ecosystem of the country by connecting researchers with resources, in part by promoting technologies and scientific equipment development indigenously, and by providing necessary supplies and supports to researchers by enabling them access to existing publicly funded R&D facilities in the country through the I-STEM web portal.

In the first phase, the portal is listed with more than 20,000 pieces of equipment from 1050 institutions across the country and has more than 20,000 Indian researchers. I-STEM portal facilitates researchers to access slots for the use of equipment, as well as to share the details of the outcomes, such as patents, publications, and technologies. Under Phase II, the portal will host indigenous technology products listed through a digital catalog. The portal will also provide a platform for the various City Knowledge and Innovation Clusters supported by the Office of PSA to enhance the effective use of R&D infrastructure through leveraging collaboration and partnership built on a shared STI ecosystem. It will also host and provide access to selected R&D software required to undertake research projects by students and scientists. The I-STEM portal in its new phase will be designed as a dynamic digital platform that will provide a boost to research and innovation, especially for 2-tier and 3-tier cities and also for the emerging start-up ecosystem.
