- Through Mera Ghar Mere Naam, dwellers living in the Lal dora area of 12,700 villages will now be given the rights to make the properties sellable.
- Earlier, the dwellers of the state in lal dora did not have any rights to put the properties on sale. However, with this Scheme, they will be able to do the same.
- The scheme is renamed after the ‘Lal Lakir’ scheme of the state.
- The Mera Ghar Mere Naam scheme is an extended version of the Swamitav scheme.
- It is being analyzed that the scheme may be disseminated to five more districts of the state.
- For the properties owned by the NRIs in the state, It was announced to secure and save the same.
- In order to save the properties of the NRIs belonging to Punjab, revenue records will have entries of the property lives abroad.
- The properties owned by the NRIs belonging to the state will have the privilege of consent at the time of sale of their owned properties.
