Every year lakhs of women become pregnant in the state of Gujarat but not all of them are in good financial condition. In such a situation, many women become victims of malnutrition due to not getting proper food and when women become victims of malnutrition, their children also become victims of malnutrition, due to which the health of women and their children is not good. .
That is why the state of Gujarat has started Mukhyamantri Matri Shakti Yojana for the nutrition of pregnant women and their child with the aim so that by becoming the beneficiary of this scheme, pregnant women and their child can get proper nutrition.
Under this scheme, the government wants to provide gram, oil and pigeon pea pulses to pregnant women so that they can consume nutritious food and improve their health. A budget of Rs 811 crore has also been kept for this scheme by the Gujarat government in the current year.
Benefits/Features of Chief Minister Matru Shakti Yojana :-
This scheme has been launched by Prime Minister Modi on June 18 in the year 2022.
